FIRST NATIONS CARVING by SIMON CHARLIE - $750
- Eagle bowl carved by famed aboriginal artist Simon Charlie (1920-2005).
- 7-3/4" long by 3-1/4" wide. 4" tall to top of head.
- Artist signed and dated 1977
- Charlie was a renowned Coast Salish master carver and elder; he was named a 2003 recipient of the Order of Canada and many of his pieces are in the collection of the Royal British Columbia museum in Victoria, B.C. and can be viewed in front of the parliament buildings in Ottawa, Ontario.
